Ryan & Randi: We know that you were discovered at California Sound Studios by producer Ronnie King, who has worked with such big names as Mariah Carey, Tupac Shakur, and Snoop Dogg. Can you tell us a little about this first meeting?

Ryan: Yeah, and can you tell me how I can get MY big break, too?

Randi: Down, girl! We're here to talk about Meeghan, not you.

Meeghan: I was really intimidated at first--I mean, here I was a young artist just starting out. He made me feel comfortable, though--we just cut up the whole time!

R&R: While it is obvious that you can certainly hold your own, what is it like sharing the stage with well-known artists, such as Colby O'Donis? (of duet with Lady Gaga fame--"Let's Dance")

Randi: Ooo--he's so cute!

Meeghan: I have to say, I was really scared--he's big, I'm small. But he was really nice--just a normal person. When I perform and see kids smile, it makes me smile!

R&R: You were born in your parents' home country of Indonesia--when did you move to the US?

Meeghan: I moved when I was 4 years old and got a modeling and acting agent in New York.

Randi: My family is from Korea, so I try to do things to honor my heritage...

Ryan: Oh Randi, I don't think giving me a mani-pedi qualifies as "honoring your cultural heritage"...but I still like it!

Randi: ...as I was saying, Meeghan, in what ways do you maintain cultural ties with your birthplace?

Meeghan: I am more Americanized now, but I still speak my native language, eat the yummy food from my homeland, and go back to Indonesia every couple of summers to reconnect with family. I really wanna do a concert there and perform a song with the Indonesian people.
R&R: We've read that you are close to your supportive family and that they are a big influence on you in many ways. What else inspires you and the music you create?

Meeghan: Yes, I am inspired by my family, friends, environment--just everything around me! I love to take stories that truly touch me from friends and turn them into songs. Very powerful.

R&R: Acting, dance, singing, writing music--do you have a favorite?

Meeghan: Singing and dancing are passions--much better ways of expressing "me." Acting is really cool in it's own way, because it gives you a chance to explore by taking on someone else.

R&R: About your awesome single, "When I'm 18"--can 18 not come fast enough, or are you just enjoying being where you are now?

Meeghan: Like most girls my age, I am looking forward to being 18, but I am also enjoying living in the moment. I know things are going to come at me fast, so I'm really trying to savor everything that I have right now.

Randi: That is such an insightful attitude for a girl your age. Too bad most girls your age are not that mature...right, Ryan?

Ryan: Hey!

Randi: Hehe--I love you, Ryan! Anyway, Meeghan, do you write all of your own songs?

Meeghan: I do write my own songs. Writing your own songs gives you a better connection with your fans, because they can feel who you really are.

Randi: Yeah, I know what you mean. I want to feel who the Jonas Brothers really are...

Ryan: ...hard to do with that restraining order, Randi...just kidding!

Randi: Girl, you are so bad!
R&R: Last question...so, what do you see yourself doing when you're 18, 28, 38?

Meeghan: Definitely I still want to be plugged into the music industry. I also have a passion for writing--would love to write screenplays, etc. That's why I want to continue my education and major in Journalism.

R&R: Very cool! Maybe someday you can write awesome interviews like us! Let us know if you need any help.

Meeghan: Uh, yeah...I'll get back to you on that one. Thanks for having me on "Ryan and Randi Presents!"

R&R: Anytime, Meeghan--our fans are your fans!
